We learnt how to write a simple report about 'Cats' and 'Dogs'.

A report has these body parts ...

- A title.
- Classification (What is it? What is the animal?).
- Description (Describing it, the animal).
- Dynamics (What can it do? What can the animal do?).

We began learning about how to write a simple report about cats and dogs after we had learnt how to write descriptions of objects. Learning how to describe objects and animals gave T1 children plenty of practice when describing their cats and dogs when they began to learn how to wrote a simple report. We took a little while to learn about a classification and dynamics which are very new word-terms for the children (as well as hard to pronounce!!!).
